R.E.P. Electric, Inc. works with some of the largest industrial plants in Washington State to the smallest commercial projects in the Puget Sound area. Not limited to projects in Washington State, R.E.P. has worked on projects in other U.S. States and international countries. The vast list of clients expands each year. The following are simply a few types of companies which R.E.P. has built a long standing relationships with: Chemical Processing Plants, Oil Refineries, Manufacturing Plants, Food Processing Facilities, Hospitals, Correction Facilities, Strip Malls, Post Offices, Office Complexes, Saw Mills, Paper Mills, and Schools.

R.E.P. has been Simpson Tacoma Krafts one of the Northwest’s largest pulp and paper mills, primary electrical contractor since 1980. R.E.P. has completed a number of electrical jobs including: high voltage, fiber optic, process controls, data communications and basic wiring for Simpson. " They’ve done it all for us, says Del Decker, Simpson Tacoma Kraft Engineer. ",One job involved hooking up multiple 2,000-horse power, 4,000-volt refiner motors and revising the old control system to include instruments, and logic controls. We installed remote-base PLCs, medium voltage starters, motor control centers and hundreds of inputs/outputs on the PLC. They had more than 200 drawings to work from and I was feeding them more drawings as they were building. We started the installation the second week of February, and we were up and running by April. That’s normally a four month job. I can’t remember a time we didn’t meet schedule on an R.E.P. job."

R.E.P. Designed and Built the new headquarters for the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries Headquarters in Tumwater Washington. The L & I Building has a 4000amp incoming service with a 1200kVA emergency power generator. The building is 400,000 square feet with offices for 2500 state workers. The state’s computer system is backed up by an UPS system.

The L & I Building has many interesting and unique features. A floor box was designed to accommodate the power requirements for 2000 cubicles. Each Cubicle has regular power, computer power, telephone and data wiring. The Central Management Computer controls the lighting and temperature settings based on the demand and time of day. The main entrance, a Rotunda, to the building is six stories high. An URN located on the 5th floor contains high wattage lighting beaming toward the ceiling, giving an open-air effect.

The L & I Building project was a formal partnership with the State and all the Contractors. Each had a significant role, which required all parties to work together. Meetings where held to discuss each teams concerns and progress. This resulted in a project that was completed on time, within budget and with no end of job claims.

R.E.P. had a major role in the electrical construction of the Madigan Army Medical building at Fort Lewis, Washington. Working in conjunction with other contractors, R.E.P. installed the HVAC controls for heating and cooling system, electrical tie-ins for mechanical equipment, interconnections to the system, and installed an automatic guided path way for automated vehicles. The automated vehicles transport linens, food, and medical supplies throughout the building. A host computer with video monitoring allows the head operator to oversee the entire system.

Other projects with similar scopes of work include: St. Dominics Hospital, (Jackson, MS), Greenville Memorial Hospital, (Greenville, SC), Seattle Times Newspaper, (Bothel, WA), Tacoma General Hospital, (Tacoma, WA)
